The time of which this book gives account (2020-24), gave way to the resurgence of bioterrorism, wars, genocides and assassinations, terror, fear, insecurity, death. They came from the hand of the usual actors: colonialist invaders, slavers, predators of territories that never were, and never will be, their own. The place where you are born does not grant identity. They are your origins, your ancestors. It doesn’t matter if they call themselves Americans or Israelis. They will always be the ones who, claiming to be 'chosen', will insist on their unhinged, supremacist determination to turn the land into the 'people' of a fiction. A time of exterminations, ethnic cleansing, intolerance; of persecutory, negationist, phobic Nazi-Zionism; of the decadence of the imperial hegemon and its 'vassals'; of unipolarity; of 'exceptionality' proclaiming 'rules' that sweep away civilizations, cultures; that mock coexistence, order, laws. Time, of the emergence of multipolarity, dignity, sovereignty so often postponed; of the few, certainly, that every day, are more. Of the cry for freedom, self-determination; the construction of peace.
