In the current age of social media and smart phones, people knowingly or unknowingly circulate many misconceptions and wrong references of bhagavad geeta. These mistakes multiply in a very short time and are widespread easily. I felt disheartened when I came across such wrongs. I thought of doing some concrete work to remove or at the least reduce such wrong doings. Hence, I came up with this idea of writing a small booklet which would contain all important things from the scripture it would represent. I called this series of booklets - thread of essence!Many articles/commentaries/books on vedas/vedanta/puranas have been written in many languages for ages. Many scholars have delved into these bharatiya (Indian) scriptures umpteen number of times. As I have studied the scriptures as an inquisitive person for years, I identify myself as a worthy student of the scriptures.I am surprised many times when I read and contemplate certain things mentioned in these scriptures. How could such a thought or practice be possible for human minds thousands of years ago? I am a student of science and engineering. But, after studying scriptures for almost sixteen years, I got different perspective. I have come across facts that are often contrary to popular beliefs. Many things written in the scriptures are poet’s imaginations or stories, at the same time many things have surprised me.bhagavad geeta is the most famous, most analyzed and most comprehensive text of sanatan dharma (eternal path) and bharatiya (Indian) culture. It is truly a fine representation of sanatan dharma (eternal path) in small package. Every sanatani’s (seeker of eternal path) feeling and faith relates to this collection of verses called geeta.This booklet is a sincere attempt to create a ready reference of geeta for all. This booklet is useful for understanding the teachings of entire 700 shlokas (verses) geeta in English, Hindia and Gujarati languages. Readers can quickly go thru all the gems woven into geeta without missing any detail. As exact translation is not possible from original text, which is in language Sanskrut, I kept many original words with close enough translation of that in parentheses.
