Un giorno, mentre gioca ai pirati sulla spiaggia, si addormenta e inizia a sognare...Il protagonista viene portato a bordo di un veliero pirata, dove incontra il Capitano e l’equipaggio. Con grande entusiasmo diventa subito uno di loro e si dedica alle mansioni tipiche di un pirata, imparando tante cose nuove.Un giorno avvista una nave nemica in distanza. Partecipa quindi a una feroce battaglia e la nave nemica viene affondata. Il capitano rivale viene catturato e dalla tasca gli cade una mappa del tesoro. Con la mappa Gavino e gli altri raggiungono un’isola dove trovano il tesoro, che viene portato a bordo. Mentre la nave si allontana dall’isola, Gavino inizia a sentire nostalgia di casa.Continua ad comportarsi da bravo marinaio, ma pensa sempre alla mamma e alle sue torte. Alla fine, una terribile tempesta si abbatte sulla nave, Gavino chiude gli occhi per la paura e quando li riapre, si trova sulla spiaggia vicino a casa, corre dalla mamma e si rende conto di aver fatto un incredibile sogno.
