Diese Dissertation untersucht die Durchführbarkeit und Wirksamkeit der Verwendung des Nintendo Wii Balance Boards als therapeutisches Hilfsmittel für Kinder mit Cerebralparese (CP) und vergleicht es mit herkömmlichen Physiotherapiemethoden. Zu den Zielen der Studie gehört es, die Auswirkungen der Wii-Therapie auf die körperlichen Fähigkeiten, die grobmotorischen Leistungen und das tägliche Funktionieren von CP-Patienten zu bewerten. Durch eine umfassende Überprüfung der vorhandenen Literatur und eine Datenanalyse zeigt die Studie, dass die Wii-Therapie die körperlichen Aktivitäten und grobmotorischen Fähigkeiten von Kindern mit CP deutlich verbessert. Allerdings ist das Alter ein begrenzender Faktor für die Wirksamkeit der Wii-Therapie. Die Ergebnisse deuten darauf hin, dass das Nintendo Wii Balance Board eine praktikable und wirksame Alternative zur herkömmlichen Physiotherapie für Kinder mit zerebraler Lähmung darstellt.
