A boy without a mother. A girl without a father. Lives intersect, and happenings change.  When a young woman, Melody, comes looking for work, she receives work on the farm of a local man with one son, Steven. When Steven’s father goes away on business, he leaves him in the care of Melody and her only daughter, Natasha.Being raised by Melody and spending copious amounts of time with Natasha, Steven soon finds himself growing up faster than he ever thought.Being the only two on the farm most of the time, Steven and Natasha discover how drastically life can change and how passions can flourish. One day, that all changes when they meet three older siblings, Jake and his sisters, Susan and Georgina. Steven and Natasha, in their naivety, stumble upon another juncture in life they had not seen coming nor how to process everything as they embark on friendships that change their lives forever. Hearing the news of a murder close by, the town is put on alert before whispers of more murders flood in over the area. When authorities begin linking the clues and discover the murders are connected, and the homicide department describes them as "Crimes of passion", they start searching for someone they have labelled the Cassanova Killer.
