The early church didn’t have fancy buildings. They hadn’t attended any church growth seminars. All they had was a simple faith, a determination to serve God with absolute abandonment, and a resolve to work together in unqualified unity to achieve the purposes of God. That church grew from 120 to over 5,000 in a matter of days. Their Christ-like character and their godly lifestyle allowed for the power of God to flow through them in their message and their ministry. The fruit of their lives bore the fruit of souls for the Kingdom of God. That’s the way it is meant to work.Today’s church is different. We have beautiful church buildings. We have the New Testament teachings in our Bibles. Workshops and seminars on how to grow a church and to be effective in evangelism are available to us continuously. Still, when we look at the impact of our lives and our churches we pale in comparison to that of the early church fathers.Fruit Loose and Fancy Tree offers biblical truths and principles that, when applied, will align our character and lifestyle with that of Christ’s. When we are consistent in the application of these principles, the anointing of Christ will be released through our lives to fulfil the purpose we have been given as a church. That purpose is to bear spiritual fruit for the Kingdom and glory of God. We need to forget the fancy and bear the fruit.Tim has been in full time ministry since 1984. While most of those years have been in the pastorate Tim spent nearly five years in itinerant ministry, preaching and teaching Kingdom principles that would increase the church’s impact on the community. Recently he and his wife founded Pillars of Wisdom Christian Ministries.

There is a dark side to light, you know.  Evil wears many disguises.  It always camouflages itself as other than it is; and, good men are deceived.  The very nature of deception is that the deceived do not know that they are deceived.  There is a dark side to light, you know.  In the midst of the darkness – the children of light!  The backdrop – spiritual warfare. This Christia...

We’ve been duped into removing prayer from the center of our churches and have placed it on the periphery or semi-periphery.  What we’re witnessing today in our churches, and in society at large, is that legacy of prayerlessness.  Church leadership may be hesitant and embarrassed to admit it, but there is a direct correlation between our spiritual weakness and our lack of corpo...

If God is good, why do we get sick? When God created the world, He declared: "It is good." But then came the Fall, and with it sickness and death. In this heart-tugging monograph, Dr. Davis McGuirt draws from both his training in theology and the personal agony of watching his father die from cancer to provide a variety of biblical reasons for why we get sick. We are also remin...
