After taking several English courses while attending the University of Detroit Mercy located in Detroit, Michigan, I fell in love with Poetry. I’ve discovered that Poetry is a means of getting that ’something’ off of my chest - expressing myself - and a vehicle for Deliverance to flow down into the essence of my soul. So often we have those little ’secrets’ that we have promised ourselves that we will not share with a living soul, or made a statement, ’I will take that to my grave.' Well, not sharing with others allows Satan the opportunity to throw stumbling blocks of pain and shame, embarrassment, and fear before you. These stumbling blocks can become hindrances that can hold you captive for the rest of your life. As a former elementary school teacher, I had various awesome opportunities to introduce Poetry and Essay Writing to my fifth-grade students. I was so blessed with the amazing results that they had achieved, and the various contests that many won. I believe that through various writing exercises, a type of freedom and deliverance took place within their hearts and lives. Poetry and Essay Writing has become my stepping stones, which has allowed me under the Divine guidance of 'The Holy Spirit' to boldly proclaim from the mountain top .... 'Free At Last! Free At Last! Deliverance ... Has Finally Come'!
