Frederick Harlencinchester is an ordinary farmer from 18th century Holland, who boards a passenger ship, called 'The William'. He attempts to sail to Prussia to seek out a life of adventure and possibly become a sailor. However, one fateful night a terrible storm hits the ship and ultimately changes Frederick’s life forever.
