Fóstbrœðra saga (The Saga of the Sworn Brothers) is a medieval Icelandic saga. Preserved in manuscripts from the 14th and 15th centuries, it recounts the adventures and exploits of Þorgeirr Hávarsson and Þormóðr Kolbrúnarskáld, two sworn brothers, Vikings, and poets living in the late 10th and early 11th centuries. The saga is known for its complex characterizations, vivid descriptions of Viking Age society, and exploration of themes such as loyalty, friendship, revenge, and the clash between paganism and Christianity.
