Volume Two 'Fort Ord - Then and Now' series covers Camp Clayton, Sub-Installations, Blocks 1000, 1100, 1200, 1300, 1400, 1500, 1600. As with my previous Volume of 'Then and Now' I have utilized all available Army photos and records as well as personal archives. One way to tell the history of Fort Ord was to break the base up into Blocks. Growing up on Army bases, no better place for a kid. Never bored with plenty to do --- much of it out of the ordinary, my father was a Senior NCO. We learned things most kids will never know.
