Solomon Carter has always been searching for something. Who wouldn’t be if they were left in the woods at age four? Found by loving, caring people who became his adoptive parents, they gave him an amazing childhood. Growing up on a working ranch, there were always things to do. They gave him the gift of adventure with summer hiking trips every year.Once married to the love of his life, he still felt this feeling of searching, when he received an email from his dead mother, which would change everything in his life. He turned his dream of flipping houses into a reality when he bought a house in Oregon even though he and his wife, Bethany, lived in Texas. He didn’t tell her until after he purchased the house. Of course, he bought it sight unseen as well. What could go wrong?Well, many things. For one, he unknowingly moved them into a cult that was made up of descendants of the Roanoke Colony that had broken away before the rest disappeared. Could this place hold a secret to his past? Could his rash decisions to move here end his marriage he was trying so hard to keep intact? And lastly, what was the whole town so afraid of that was out in the dark at night? Was Solomon drawn to this place because of something evil or because of his past?
