When self-described Austin-based hot-shot investigative journalist Peter Richards gets fired from his job his life starts to disintegrate. People don't think he's credible, he lacks integrity, and his shady past slowly starts to catch up to him. One night, while at home in a quaint Austin suburb, with his wife and daughter asleep, Peter witnesses his neighbor being murdered.
