Harper and Sam start a new school called Flagsora Academy of Sorcery. Their father is a famous beast hunter while their mother is the headmistress at Flagsora. Harper struggles with this due to everyone using her for autographs and meeting sessions. Harper learns that her best friend, Evelyn, was going to the school as well but not because she is a witch but because she knows alchemy. This is the first year that they put both wizardry and alchemy into the school where non-magical people can know about wizards and witches. Harper meets Alex her first and was instantly in love with him while Sam meets Skylar and falls in love with her. They go through their first year with learning new skills and Sam find out that he is better with potions. Harper and Alex hang out all the time when they’re not studying. Sam finds an old mystic book and starts using it. Harper has no idea what he is doing but notices that it could cause some trouble. What will happen to Sam and will they get through it as a family?
