After losing his high-paying corporate job, Ken Newman finds himself at a crossroads. Instead of returning to the life he once knew, he accepts an unexpected opportunity to manage a remote hot-springs resort in the mountains of Montana. What should have been a fresh start quickly becomes a test of courage, leadership, and survival. As the resort’s first Black manager, Ken encounters open racial hostility, prejudice, violence, workplace conflict, and deeply rooted attitudes that challenge his right to belong. Yet rather than allowing hatred and intimidation to drive him away, he chooses to confront adversity through determination, professionalism, and perseverance.Behind the resort’s picturesque surroundings lies an equally complicated world of financial troubles, employee disputes, family betrayal, criminal schemes, environmental problems, and dangerous confrontations. As Ken works to rescue the struggling resort, he finds himself caught in situations far more serious than he ever expected including violent criminals, racial extremists, corruption, and threats to the people around him.Based on the experiences of Booker Hall and dramatized for the narrative, Firestorm is a compelling story of adversity, racial tension, courage, leadership, and personal transformation. Set against the rugged landscape of Montana, it explores what happens when one person refuses to surrender his place, his dignity, or his determination in the face of hostility.
