La Gita considera il mondo come transitorio, tutti i corpi e la materia come impermanenti. Tutto ciò che costituisce prakriti (natura, materia) è guidato dal processo e ha un’esistenza finita. Nasce, cresce, matura, decade e muore. Considera questa realtà transitoria come Maya. Come le Upanishad la Gita si concentra su ciò che considera Reale in questo mondo di cambiamento, impermanenza e infinito. Per costruire il suo quadro teologico sul mondo, il testo si basa sulle teorie che si trovano nelle scuole indù di Samkhya e Vedanta.
