I dispositivi indossabili intelligenti possono essere fabbricati utilizzando materiali flessibili e lineari simili a cavi per applicazioni nei settori dell’energia, dell’elettronica, della sensoristica e dei prodotti sanitari. Tali dispositivi indossabili sono stati preparati incorporando nanostrutture conduttive, nanomateriali metallici, nanocompositi ibridi e nanocompositi polimerici sulla superficie di materiali di cotone flessibili e permeabili (fili, fibre, filati e tessuti). Il presente lavoro di ricerca esplora la fattibilità di un nuovo sensore basato su fili di cotone nanostrutturati. Questi fili sono stati funzionalizzati utilizzando nanotubi di carbonio (CNT) e nanostrutture PANi/γ-Fe2O3. Questi fili sensibili ibridi nanostrutturati a base di cotone potrebbero essere facilmente tessuti nei materiali tessili che saranno utili come gadget indossabili per il rilevamento di GPL nelle cucine domestiche, nei siti di produzione e nelle industrie. Inoltre, questo lavoro darà un impulso essenziale allo sviluppo di gadget sensibili intelligenti indossabili.
