Questo lavoro esplora la preparazione e le proprietà elettrocromiche di film sottili di ossido di vanadio (V₂O₅) sviluppati utilizzando l’innovativa tecnica di pirolisi spray pulsata (PSPT). I materiali elettrocromici, che presentano proprietà ottiche sintonizzabili in risposta a stimoli elettrici, hanno un potenziale significativo per le tecnologie ad alta efficienza energetica, in particolare per le finestre intelligenti. Queste finestre possono ridurre il consumo energetico modulando la trasmissione di luce e calore, offrendo una soluzione ecosostenibile per edifici e veicoli. Lo studio si concentra sull’ottimizzazione del PSPT per la deposizione di film sottili e sul miglioramento delle prestazioni elettrocromiche attraverso il drogaggio con tungsteno (W) e molibdeno (Mo). L’analisi completa delle proprietà strutturali, ottiche ed elettrochimiche ha rivelato che i film depositati a una temperatura ottimizzata del substrato di 400°C hanno dimostrato un’efficienza di colorazione superiore, un’elevata reversibilità e un’eccellente durata. I risultati sottolineano la praticità del PSPT come metodo economico e scalabile per la produzione di film elettrocromici di alta qualità, aprendo la strada a una loro più ampia adozione nelle applicazioni delle finestre intelligenti.
