La chasse à la reine est une fête plus traditionnelle qui se déroule dans les municipalités de Colinas do Sul, Cavalcante et Monte Alegre de Goiás, toutes situées dans l’État de Goiás, et qui fait référence à l’époque de l’Empire brésilien. Ce qui est frappant, c’est que les participants s’habillent en fonction de leur rôle, les principaux étant : le roi, la reine, l’empereur et la garde royale. Outre les costumes, l’ensemble de l’environnement est caractérisé de manière à ce que les touristes puissent 'voyager dans le temps'.
