Dieses Buch untersucht Fayga Ostrowers Schaffen von Mustern für Stoffdrucke zwischen 1952 und 1967 in Rio de Janeiro sowie ihre Beziehung zum Design. Fayga Ostrowers kreative Phase dauerte fast 15 Jahre und brachte mehr als 500 Stoffmuster hervor, von denen 179 im Fayga Ostrower Institut in Rio de Janeiro katalogisiert sind. Gemeinsam mit anderen Künstlern nahm Fayga Ostrower an Modekollektionen teil, die in den 1960er Jahren weltweit mit „Künstlerstoffen' für die nationale Identität warben. Dieses Projekt wurde von dem multinationalen Unternehmen Rhodia gesponsert und durchgeführt. Es geht auch um die Beziehung zwischen den verschiedenen kreativen Medien des Künstlers und den Lärm, den sie untereinander verursachen. Und wie diese gleichzeitige künstlerische Arbeit mit verschiedenen Materialien das Werk der multiplen Künstlerin Fayga Ostrower ausmacht.
