A professor in Michigan State’s School of Journalism, she teaches sports media, and law and ethics. Carter is the Michigan State University Faculty Athletic Representative to the NCAA and the Big Ten. She was a reporter for 17 years, and named top UPI Sports Broadcaster of 1990. In 2001 Carter led an all-women expedition to the North Pole.Dan Krier holds an M.F.A. from the University of Southern California School of Cinematic Arts, and is currently a doctoral student at the Michigan State University School of Journalism. He has worked as a sportswriter and now records a weekly sports talk radio show.
