As a child, I grew up on Chestnut Ridge in the mountains of Latrobe Pennsylvania.My brothers and cousins would wonder thru the woods playing, and one of the peoplewho we knew as children was a man named 'Mr. Clark'. Mr. Clark live back 'The oldroad' as we called it , where also my Great Grandfather 'Sam Campbell' had a farm.Mr. Clark lived in an old house; one room was hewn logs, and the other room which was added on was of frame design. There was a pot belly stove on the front room, and a spring house outside his front door. Mr. Clark collected fiddles, that fascinated me. I today am a pianist and musician and have always loved music. I remember fondly him playing the fiddle for us children, so I’ve written about him.
