The end of Bud¡¦s adventure and Derrick¡¦s final pitch of the game occur at the same time, in a way that is both magical and heartwarming. It is a story of a father¡¦s love for his son, a small boy¡¦s for his grandfather, and the magic that is still in all of us, no matter what the age. It is a story for baseball fans from eight to eighty, or anyone who just enjoys a good old-fashioned fairy tale.
