Emmaline Keys only wants a normal and peaceful life. But not all things go well like she wanted to be. Emma grew up battling with a deadly illness that could cut her lifeline anytime if it wants her dead. Dealing with it is so much difficult task to do every day in her daily life. The sound of her heartbeat matters to her but every time when she had dealt with the pain, chances of surviving to live takes her positive thoughts away. It’s hard. She didn’t ask for it. But she thought she’s one of those unluckiest people who are fighting to live freely without that physical pain in her chest. Having a CAD is risky. She never got the chance to enjoy her whole life because of it, from her childhood up to her adolescence she’s just enduring it. Emmaline never attended parties with her peers-nevertheless, she got no close friend to call for. It was like she was leached by the fact that she could no longer taste the same freedom human like her age enjoyed. Not until she’d met, Strauss Shipman. Strauss Shipman was the son of one of the best doctors in the city. They’d met unexpectedly at the rooftop when Emma decided to unwind and be free from the pollution she’s inhaling. Emma thought Strauss was committing suicide, at first she didn’t want to interrupt him, leaving him like she didn’t see anything was already planted on her mind but it also triggered her. Watching Strauss jumped from the edge of the rooftop would lead her into depression and guilt. And that’s why she swallowed the lump in her throat and just tried to convince him to not jump off from the rooftop. Their friendship started their although they didn’t get along well at first, but she realized that Strauss was irrationally funny. Their friendship grew into something so realistic, like something she didn’t feel way before. However, like her, Strauss was also a victim of some kind of deadly illness. Strauss had brain tumor. A brain tumor which also killed his mother. In short, their love story was also stroke by Romeo and Juliet fever. Though, Romeo and Juliet died tragically with their naivety. Now their love story was in danger. Will they survive from death, or they’d just let their blooming relationship takes them to death and continue it to their next love? This love story tells about two people who developed their romance to the verge of their deaths. A love ’till sickness and death. Two ordinary people fell in love to each other, but both of them became victims of deadly illnesses. Two of them, should bear the pain... and live.
