Allow me to share with you why I wrote this book. I wrote this book, not as an expert on faith. I believe we can all cultivate our faith. However, I wrote this book because I’m an expert on what it looks like to want to have faith but sometimes my analytical mind gets in the way. Sometimes my fear takes over. My over-thinking and rationalizing take over and faith goes out the window.You see, I know what it’s like to be the person who has had to have control over every aspect of her life. Stubborn to the fact that help is available because ’I should be able to handle everything on my own...I’m grown.’ I know what it’s like to want to do something big or different, not know the strategy and still press on with my limited knowledge, never once consulting God because, ’I got this.’I know what it’s like to talk about faith and trust, but not have it. I was also the one who could quote and read and study scriptures and encourage others to have faith but not have enough to believe for my own life to turn around. Let’s not talk about how I prayed for others’ miracles, breakthroughs and deliverance. I watched it happen. I watched God bless my friends in areas that I prayed for, yet, I didn’t have that kind of faith in my prayers for myself.How about this? I have seen beautiful love relationships for others, yet, I didn’t believe it was possible for me too. So, I settled for less than God’s best. I prayed and I cried, but didn’t believe He could do the same thing for me.Maybe you’re like me or have experienced some of what I have and you are ready to begin growing in your faith. I will say this, being ready requires a few things: you must acknowledge that you want this, be adaptable to changing behaviors, attitudes and mindsets, be positive and be intentional.Even if you do not have all of these, if you have God and a trusted faith partner, you can do whatever you set your mind to doing. I hope you allow my journey, experiences and lessons to encourage you on your faith journey.Whether you are learning about faith, have been on this journey for quite some time, been questioning your faith or have experienced the ebbs and flows of faith, these transparent examples chronical my journey and relationship with faith and learning to trust God with every aspect of my life. This book shows women that they are not alone and that even a small amount of faith is enough for God.This book offers encouragement and practical tools to use for a lifetime no matter what stage of life you’re in.
