Faith Is My ArmorThis biography follows the life of Swami Kriyananda modern-day hero who has persistently demonstrated spiritual courage, determination in the face of great obstacles, and personal sacrifice for an ideal throughout his life. Faith Is My Armor tells the complete story of his life from his childhood in Rumania, to his desperate search for meaning in life, and to his training under his great Guru, the Indian Master, Paramhansa Yogananda (author of the spiritual classic Autobiography of a Yogi). As a youth of 22, Swami Kriyananda first met and pledged his discipleship to Yogananda, entering the monastery Yogananda had founded in Southern California. In the nearly sixty years since then, Kriyananda has traveled and lived around the world, lecturing in five languages, writing over 100 books and 400 pieces of music, and founding seven spiritual communities in the United States, Europe, and India. It also recounts the drama of the powerful opposition and attacks he faced as he strove to fulfill the mission his Guru had bestowed upon him. Nayaswami Devi Novak is the co-Spiritual Director of Ananda Sangha Worldwide and the editor of Intuition for Starters. She co-authored Stand Unshaken!, and the current six volume series Touch of Light based on the 'Touch of Light' blog.
