In Brasilien gibt es mehr als 136 Millionen Nutzer, die Facebook verwenden. Trotz seines Potenzials wird diese Technologie für Bildungszwecke noch wenig genutzt. Dieses soziale Netzwerk bietet einige Ressourcen, die z.B. für die Popularisierung der Wissenschaft, insbesondere der Astronomie, genutzt werden können.
