Il grafene è un materiale alternativo interessante per diverse applicazioni in dispositivi elettronici, celle a combustibile, sensori biomedici, accumulo di energia e supercondensatori grazie alle sue eccezionali proprietà termiche, elettriche, ottiche e meccaniche. Questo materiale può essere sintetizzato con molti metodi efficaci, come la deposizione chimica da vapore e l’esfoliazione micromeccanica della grafite. Questo libro studia un approccio nuovo e pulito per far crescere il grafene direttamente dalla grafite grezza tramite ablazione laser pulsata in liquido. Questa tecnica è semplice e veloce: una procedura in un unico passaggio per fabbricare nanoparticelle di grafene pure e stabili con un breve tempo di ablazione. Il risultato sono prodotti di dimensioni controllabili, alta produzione di massa, elevata stabilità, minore aggregazione e assenza di agenti chimici, svantaggi noti osservati in altri approcci per la produzione di grafene. La presenza del grafene viene confermata mediante diverse tecniche di caratterizzazione, tra cui la spettroscopia Raman, UV-VISIBLE, AFM, SEM e TEM. Queste tecniche consentono di comprendere le proprietà morfologiche e strutturali del grafene prodotto. In questo libro viene spiegata in modo approfondito la ricetta potenziale per la crescita di grafene di alta qualità.
