Davina Buchanan, a fortunate young woman, had pursued her passion for horses since childhood. With her family’s wealth and support, Davina was able to reach the top of the Equestrian world. Davina’s compassionate nature inspired her to help those in need. However, when tragedy strikes, she battles with hate, anger, and heartbreak, feelings she has never had to deal with. Six-year-old Evie migrated from Ireland to Australia with her impoverished parents. However, her father’s pre-organised connection with the criminal world offers significant financial rewards. All the while, Evie’s mother, Cathy, attempts to keep Evie safe from Sean’s unlawful ventures. However, an unfortunate event sees Evie stranded and alone until a caring neighbour phoned Buchanan House. It happened five years after Davina’s tragedy, and when she’d gifted her home to a charity that cared for abandoned children and sometimes their abused mothers. When living at Buchanan House, Evie gravitates to Davina’s horses, seeking solace in their company. One stormy night, Davina helps search for Evie after she is found missing and finds her embracing the old pony, Polly. From then on, Davina and Evie become each other’s light as they heal from their traumas.
