There are numerous excellent inspirational Christian books available for almost every type of reader, the most prolific being calendar-based where messages combined with selected Bible verses are presented for every day of the year. This smaller format pocketbook containing 90 letters is different in that it’s we who write to the Lord. He is after all our Father and we, his children. These letters focus on the ordinary and how we might find meaning in unlikely places; but however we might want to frame our thoughts, writing letters has the potential to lead to great personal spiritual growth. Each letter ends with a short prayer to set the mind for when it’s time to pick up our own Bible and explore the full context of God’s word. Let’s start writing letters and may they bear fruit for they are own unique precious conversations with the Lord through Jesus Christ our Saviour. Whether it’s a letter to say goodbye, of encouragement, to say sorry, to teach, or just to share news and ideas, letters are capable of transforming the way we think.
