La valeur numérique des mesures céphalométriques squelettiques et dentaires doit être prise en compte, surtout si elles sont représentatives du visage des individus. Pour atteindre l’équilibre facial, le diagnostic orthodontique et le plan de traitement doivent également tenir compte des caractéristiques individuelles, des aspects culturels, de l’analyse faciale, des modèles d’étude, de la plainte du patient et des possibilités et limites des thérapies utilisées.
