Este artigo apresenta os resultados de um inquérito sociológico a crianças em idade escolar, estudantes e professores de educação física de escolas de ensino geral em Saratov e na região de Saratov, realizado em 2011-2014. O inquérito foi realizado de acordo com o plano temático de investigação e desenvolvimento do RSUFKSMiT com o plano temático de I&D para institutos de investigação e universidades subordinadas ao Ministério do Desporto, Turismo e Política da Juventude da Federação Russa para 2011-2014, direção - 02, 'Conteúdo e estrutura do sistema complexo regional de educação física nas actividades de lazer de crianças e jovens'. O autor espera que a investigação sociológica conduzida na Rússia sirva de estímulo para a ativação da discussão de problemas difíceis e discutíveis da educação física, e também de base teórica e metodológica para a formação e introdução na prática do conteúdo e da estrutura do sistema complexo regional de educação física nas actividades de lazer das crianças e dos jovens.
