A noção de frase tem sido objecto de muita controvérsia devido à sua definição controversa. A interminável investigação sobre esta noção não foi capaz de lhe dar uma definição homogénea, porque tem várias formas e estruturas que corroboram o seu estatuto de frase complexa. Emprestada da linguística, a estilística tenta propor-lhe uma abordagem única na qual todos os seus possíveis pontos de análise seriam combinados. Com Georges Molinié, o estudo estilístico da frase é explorado sob questões de ordem intrassintagmática e suprasintagmática. Esta abordagem da poesia africana francófona permite assim compreender o sentido profundo destas frases com estruturas distorcidas. Evidentemente, a reflexão efectuada sobre estas obras poéticas propõe também uma abertura sobre o transfrástico. Este estudo, através do canal deste microcosmo poético da Costa do Marfim, permite-nos ver que a estética pode ser encontrada na frase, porque a perfeição do estilo é construída a partir da sua dimensão frásica.
