Estampas maricas de Lima son las historias que no nos contaron. Se trata de un proyecto de recuperación y reconstrucción de la memoria de la diversidad sexual en torno a las vivencias de personajes maricas, machonas, travestis y bisexuales, que tienen como escenario la ciudad de Lima en sus diferentes espacios físicos y en una temporalidad que va desde la fundación de la República del Perú, en el siglo XIX y hasta la actualidad. Se incluyen hitos como la declaración de la independencia del Perú en 1821, la ocupación de Lima durante la Guerra del Pacífico, el Gobierno Revolucionario de las Fuerzas Armadas, el escándalo de La Laguna de 1959, la visita de las tres travestis a la Asamblea Constituyente de 1978, la redada a la disco de machonas La Ferretería en 1987, entre otros. Las historias presentadas son un ensayo de narrativa ficcional, en donde se ha tomado material histórico, periodístico, académico e incluso testimonial, y sobre el cual ha operado el uso de una «imaginación radical», que tiene como insumo central el componente intersubjetivo de la «epistemología marica». Los diferentes pasajes históricos recreados en este proceso son un sincero intento de reconstrucción de nuestra memoria frente a una verdad institucionalizada que ha intentado invisibilizarnos y negarnos.
