Ce livre est une petite contribution aux discussions sur la mobilité, mettant en lumière des éléments qui, à différentes époques, que ce soit dans les cercles académiques ou dans la planification urbaine, sont considérés comme des 'adjacences' de l’individu modal et de la vitesse imposée par la modernité. En outre, le contenu des essais souligne l’importance de planifier en pensant aux êtres humains, aux individus sociaux qui partagent le même espace de coexistence et de sociabilité. Enfin, la lecture peut sembler inconfortable au premier abord, d’autant plus qu’il s’agit d’un essai, dont les caractéristiques peuvent facilement être confondues avec un aphorisme, mais dans ce chaos et cette déconnexion apparents, il y a de petits fils enchevêtrés comme des réseaux qui nous invitent à réfléchir à la façon dont ces 'contiguïtés' sont bien plus que de simples accessoires pour les individus et le transport individuel et qui nous encouragent à réfléchir à l’immense hétérogénéité que l’on trouve dans l’environnement urbain et qui ne devrait pas manquer de faire partie de la planification, ni des attitudes de n’importe quel citadin.
