In diesem Beitrag soll die Darstellung von Frauen in der Gesellschaft anhand der Prinzessinnen-Zeichentrickfilme der Walt Disney Animation Studios analysiert werden. Der Prozess, der mit dem Film 'Schneewittchen und die sieben Zwerge' (1937) begann, wurde durch eine Reihe von Zeichentrickfilmen fortgesetzt, deren Protagonisten Prinzessinnen sind. Diese Produktionen sind so bekannt geworden, dass sie derzeit das profitabelste Franchise des Unternehmens darstellen, wobei die meisten von ihnen auf traditionellen Märchen beruhen. Durch ihr Produktionsteam bringen sie Farbe, Ton und Bewegung ins Spiel und verführen den Zuschauer.
