The Tigrigna translation of the book - (ረዚን ዋጋ ዝተኸፍሎ ናጽነት ኤርትራን ዝተጠልመ መብጽዓን) - examines various historical phases and issues central to Eritrea’s struggle for independence and social justice. These inquiries revolve around whether the expectations of the war for Eritrea’s independence have been met, if not, what could have been done to mitigate the distressing situation we are witnessing today, and what the lessons learned are. Moreover, it functions as a cautionary narrative to a nation that secures independence through an armed struggle but does not build the necessary governance structures, policies, or leadership for development. The narrative unfolds through the lens and voice of the author, an active participant in the described events who witnessed the story firsthand. In this account, he acknowledges missed opportunities while expressing hope and maintaining optimism that Eritrea still holds the potential to achieve the aspirations initially set by its people - to establish a liberated, well-governed, and prosperous nation. እዛ መጽሓፍ’ዚኣ፡ ኣብ ቃልሲ ኤርትራ ንናጽነት ዝዝምብዩ ዝተፈላለዩ ታሪኻውያን ምዕራፋትን ጉዳያትን ክትምርምር ትህቅን። ኣብ ጉዕዞ ቃልሲ ንናጽነትን ብድሕሬኡ ዝሰዓቡ ፍጻሜታትን ዝጸለዉ ገለ ገለ ተኣፋፍቲ ጉዳያት ድማ ትትንትን።እዚ ትንታኔ’ዚ፡ ምምዕባል ምልካዊ ስርዓት፡ ዘይተርፍ ሳዕቤን ናይቲ ምንቅስቓስ ንናጽነት ድዩ ነይሩ ወይስ ነቲ ኣብ’ዚ እዋን’ዚ እንዕዘቦ ዘሎና ተርእዮ ንምዕጋት ኣቐዲማካ ስጉምትታት ክውሰድ ይከኣል ነይሩ’ዩ ንዝብል ሕቶ ክምልሽ ይፍትን። ብተወሳኺ፥ እት ትንታኔ ነቲ ዝተጠልመ መብጽዓ ሰውራን ነቲ ንሰላሳን ሰለስተን ዓመት ድሕሪ ናጽነት እንዕዘቦ ዘሎና ኩነታት ኤርትራን ብሕጽር ዝበለ መገዲ ይገልጽ።ካብዚ ሓሊፉ፡ ነታ ብዕጥቃዊ ቃልሲ ናጽነት ዘውሓሰት ሃገር፡ ኣብ ጎደና ልምዓት ንምምራሽ ዘድሊ ናይ ምሕደራ መሓውራት፡ ፖሊሲታትን መሪሕነትን ክትሃንጽ ዘይምኽኣላ ከም ናይ መጠንቀቕታ ትረኻ ኮይኑ የገልግል።እዚ ትረኻ’ዚ ብመነጽርን ድምጽን ናይ’ቲ ደራሲ ዝቐረበ ኮይኑ፡ ንሱ ኣብ’ቶም ዝተኸስቱ ፍጻመታት ንጡፍ ተሳታፍን ዓይኒ ምስክርን እዩ። ኣብዚ ጸብጻብ’ዚ፡ ደራሲ ነቲ ዝባኸነ ዕድላት ኣፍልጦ ክህቦ እንከሎ፡ ኤርትራ ሕጂ’ውን ነቲ ካብ መጀመርታ ኣትሒዙ ህዝባ ዝነበሮ ባህጊ ንምዕዋት - ማለት፡ ሓራ፡ ብሰናይ ኣገባብ እትመሓደርን ብልጽግትን ኤርትራ ንምምስራት ዓቕሚ ከም ዘለዋ ተስፋን እምነትን ከም ዘለዎ ይገልጽ።
