Leptospiroza jest powracającą chorobą odzwierzęcą wywołaną przez krętki. Niniejsze badanie zostało przeprowadzone w celu ustalenia seroprewalencji zakażenia Leptospira u bydła w niektórych dystryktach dolnej doliny Brahmaputry w Assam w okresie od marca 2017 do lutego 2018 roku. Łącznie 380 próbek krwi pobrano losowo zarówno od pozornie zdrowego, jak i klinicznie chorego bydła z 10 dystryktów Assam, niezależnie od wieku, płci i rasy. Obecność przeciwciał przeciwleptospiralnych w próbkach surowicy wykryto za pomocą dwóch testów serologicznych, a mianowicie testu ELISA IgG i testu aglutynacji mikroskopowej (MAT). Próbki poddano badaniu przesiewowemu w celu określenia częstości występowania zakażenia Leptospira u bydła.
