Entrepreneurship finds its roots in the oldest economic theories. An analysis of the classical theories highlights the presence of the precursory entrepreneurial ideas of the contemporary entrepreneurial phenomenon. In other words, the modern entrepreneurial phenomenon and its evolution can be explained through classical theories, taking into account obviously the context in which they appeared and the purpose for which they were developed.
