Ben Worthy is a Vietnam War veteran who returns home to a difficult family situation. He joins the city police force and is assigned to the Internal Affairs division. Following a series of investigations, Ben and his partner uncover a chain of corruption that extends to the highest levels. In an effort to subvert the investigation, the department secures the services of a sex worker to entangle Ben in a web of moral turpitude. The betrayal results in Ben’s resignation. In a final effort to silence the former cop, the CIA is utilized to undermine his character. An assignment to a foreign capitol reveals a scheme, rooted in deception that will have life changing ramifications.
