La compréhension orale est un élément important de l’enseignement de l’anglais langue étrangère (EFL). C’est l’une des quatre compétences linguistiques que les apprenants doivent maîtriser. Mais elle est souvent ignorée par les enseignants de langues étrangères et secondes. Alors que les trois autres compétences linguistiques font l’objet d’un enseignement direct, les enseignants s’attendent souvent à ce que les apprenants développent leur capacité d’écoute par osmose et sans aide. C’est pourquoi la compétence d’écoute devrait être un sujet de préoccupation majeur pour les enseignants et les apprenants des cours d’anglais langue étrangère.Ce travail de recherche est structuré en six chapitres. Le chapitre 1 traite de l’introduction à l’étude et comprend les énoncés de problèmes, l’objectif de l’étude, l’importance de l’étude, les questions et hypothèses de recherche et les limites de l’étude. Le chapitre 2 traite de l’analyse documentaire, qui comprend le rapport sur les documents à lire et l’appréciation critique du rapport sur les documents à lire. Le chapitre 3 porte sur la méthodologie utilisée pour collecter les données. Le chapitre 4 traite de la présentation et de l’analyse des données collectées. Le chapitre 5 est consacré à la présentation des résultats du travail de recherche. Le chapitre 6 porte sur les recommandations et les suggestions.
