In the dynamic landscape of today, cutting-edge technologies like Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning are increasingly permeating various practical fields, enriching our lives and offering unparalleled benefits. Take, for instance, the seamless unlocking of your smartphone through facial recognition-an illustration of Artificial Intelligence in action. Similarly, in the realm of healthcare, the interpretation of medical scans has evolved, with Artificial Intelligence often outperforming human doctors in accuracy and reliability. The inherent limitations of human interpretation, influenced by emotions, changing psychological states, and external distractions, underscore the advantages of well-trained machines. Machines, unaffected by external circumstances, distractions, emotions, biases, or internal feelings, have become indispensable in fields such as medicine. This is indicative of the gradual and widespread integration of artificial intelligence across various domains.Concurrently, the surge in technological advancements has given rise to a parallel development in learning and training programs. Universities and colleges provide comprehensive training for engineers at different academic levels, and vocational training centers organize short-term certificate programs in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, and Machine Learning. These programs, recognized for their efficiency, focus on core issues, and emphasize hands-on experience, cater to the needs of students studying or aspiring to study in these institutions. However, a crucial question emerges: Can one’s thirst for knowledge be satisfied by solely attending lectures and reading textbooks? To transcend the constraints of formal education, numerous options are available. Internet searches can yield tutorials, technical articles, research, and e-books on the desired field. Platforms like YouTube offer a wealth of video content, from professional tutorials to expert discussions and seminars. Yet, a common obstacle arises-all these resources primarily use English as the language of communication. In response to this challenge, we present 'English for Learning AI,' a book comprising 20 consecutive lessons. While not a specialized Data Science textbook, it serves as an English guide, equipping readers with the necessary language skills to comprehend technical resources in the field. The first ten lessons intertwine engaging daily life stories with machine learning concepts, enhancing both general English proficiency and understanding of specialized terminology. The subsequent lessons delve deeper into technical English in the format of a dialogue between a teacher and a learner, offering complex concepts and challenging discussions via a friendly approach, aiming to elevate students to a higher linguistic and technical level.Upon completing this book, readers gain the ability to fully exploit English resources in their field, breaking down language barriers to access a wealth of knowledge. We hope this book proves invaluable on your learning journey. Continuous content updates will ensure its relevance amid the ever-evolving technological landscape.Thank you for embarking on this learning adventure with us.
