This has depicted a pressing need to increase the current database of knowledge on sex hormones and their mode of action. Growing evidence regarding the capability of exogenous/epigenetic factors to affect sex hormone production and action emphasizes the need to update the current knowledge on sex hormones, their mode of action and the mechanisms involved.
