Regarding Dev Anand, official biographies and published books tell only half the story. The rest lives on in the collective memory, nostalgia, and admiration of the audience who experienced his magic firsthand. Calling him a 'complete gentleman' fits perfectly with the suave, energetic, and eternally youthful persona he maintained both on and off screen.   An encyclopaedic format is an excellent way to honour that era. Dev Anand’s career spanned over six decades, meaning his collaborations with legendary co-stars, such as Suraiya, Nutan, Waheeda Rehman, Madhubala, Hema Malini, and Zeenat Aman, essentially map the evolution of Hindi cinema itself.
