After finding the love of his life, he moved to a small town in Georgia.     Seriously injured in a motorcycle accident, the author recovered and returned to work as a truck driver. Empress Rising was written mostly while on the road.    Ford continues to split his time as a writer, father, and husband in Georgia, where he shares his life with his wife, daughter, and a menagerie of cats, dogs, and other creatures. 3
