Alejandro Batista López ha decidido convertir la investigación folclórica en la razón de ser de su existencia. Apreciamos aquí, con lupa de gran aumento, el fenómeno de la hechicería cubana, cuyas bases sentadas –como se sabe– en el viejo continente, África y otras latitudes datan de una antigüedad, un aura primitiva que ha logrado en buena medida mantener la pureza de sus ancestros no obstante el paso del tiempo, sin que tampoco pueda negarse categóricamente alguna transformación sufrida a su paso por la historia. 10
