Ellery Didn't Know That is a story about the adventures a young bear named Ellery has while in search of the Wild Blueberries that grow on Peaked Mountain Farm where he lives in Maine. Children gently learn how Wild Blueberries grow while enjoying the antics of a friendly bear character that loves to eat them. Ellery's story was inspired by a real bear that visited the author's home on the farm where she serves as a fourth generation steward in Dedham, Maine. Ellery's character has since become part of Peaked Mountain Farm's logo and Ellery Bear has been a useful and beloved teaching tool for many of the farm's activities and products, especially the organic Wild Blueberries. Originally printed in 2002, reprinted in 2006 and e-published in 2012, the 2015 Edition of Ellery Didn't Know That, offered as a traditional hardcover children's book for ages 0-7, promises to be the best. 3
