Elastic bands are portable, inexpensive compared to bodybuilding machines and can reproduce various traditional resistance training movements. When we exercise with elastic bands, we know that the intensity increases as we stretch the implement. However, this intensity is always based on the student’s perception of effort or that of the teacher/physiotherapist prescribing the activity. This is a major problem. How can I tell if my student is progressing if I don’t know the load they started training with? This and many other problems, such as monitoring performance and movement patterns, can be solved when the biofeedback system for exercising with elastic overload proposed in this book is used. Understand how the levels of muscle activation and fatigue index behave when the elbow flexion exercise is practiced with different resistances (pulley and elastic band) with objective and subjective load control.
