L’obra que tens a les mans és una teatralització d’un dels mites més coneguts de la cultura de l’Antiga Grècia.Extret de l’obra 'Les metamorfosis' de l’autor romà Ovidi, aquest mite és la història d’un home i el seu fill, de la prudència personificada en Dèdal i de la irreflexió representada per Ícar.I es creu que aquesta història era dirigida als adolescents grecs d’aquell temps amb un objectiu moralitzador.Encara avui i malgrat el temps que ha transcorregut des que Ovidi va escriure aquest relat, es poden extreure ensenyaments d’aquest.Així mateix, aquest mite també és un bon exemple de com els grecs utilitzaven els relats mitològics per a explicar la naturalesa i el comportament humà.Aquesta adaptació del mite es converteix alhora en un recurs educatiu per a treballar en classe de manera multidisciplinària.
