El tesoro de La Tayadía es una novela corta de intriga narrada en primera persona, en la que los dos protagonistas de La Casa del Pirata continúan sus aventuras para encontrar explicación a los violentos sucesos ocurridos en torno a una mina de oro explotada por modernos negreros. Ello los conduce a planear y ejecutar una expedición a un lugar recóndito de la isla de Cuba, en busca de la existencia de un enclave denominado Pozo del Oro, utilizado por un pirata del siglo XVIII, donde encontrarán pruebas de su relación con la casa de La Tayadía, en Veleta, un pueblo marinero del Cantábrico. A su regreso de Cuba, se les presentarán otros interrogantes que los llevarán a enfrentarse con nuevos misterios.
