En su crónica El Retrato de Lenin, Claudio, recibe el encargo de escribir sobre sus vivencias durante los años previos y posteriores, al golpe militar en Chile. Para organizar sus ideas imagina una conversación con un Lenin retratado que cuelga en su despacho. Claudio ingresa a las juventudes comunistas después de presenciar la acción de las fuerzas policiales en el desalojo de una toma de terrenos, ocultando su condición homosexual por temor a ser excluido y rechazado por sus camaradas. Allí conoce a Omar del cual se enamora en secreto hasta que la situación los enfrenta a reconocer sus sentimientos.Ambos forman parte del aparato clandestino de la organización en su intento de recomponer las estructuras dañadas en dictadura. Claudio presencia a la distancia el secuestro de Omar por las fuerzas represivas del régimen y conoce de su heroico gesto antes de ser asesinado. Abatido se refugia en San Pedro de Atacama hasta optar por su ingreso en el FPMR participando tiempo después en el atentado al dictador. Complementa esta edición una sección de poemas y una serie de relatos cortos de temática homosexual.En la narración El Ángel Azul, Andrés junto a sus amigos festejan la nochevieja en el puerto de Valparaíso. En medio del tronar de la pólvora y bengalas seduce a un oscuro personaje quien lo llevará a conocer un escondido mundo de afectos y exclusión. 10
